The GTS represents the next generation of surfing. Designed to be a multipurpose boat that blends watersports capabilities with leisure cruising. With the surf gate and a control center dash, this runabout boat makes the perfect choice for someone with kids or grandkids who may want to take up watersports.
Surfing the Chaparral GTS 6 and the Transom
When you step aboard the 2026 Chaparral GTS 6 swim platform, you will notice how wide the swim platform is. It is full beam width, allowing plenty of room for those who love to anchor down and let their feet hang in the water. Additionally, this size makes it very easy to board and disembark at the dock.
The GTS 6 features Chaparral’s cutting-edge Infinity Power SwimStep. With the push of a button, the swimstep deploys into the water, giving you easy access. This step is great for those looking to bring pets or those having trouble walking aboard.
A standout feature for the Chaparral GTS 6 is the sunbed lounge located on the transom. It is a wide seat that can fit up to three across. On the backrests, you will find a handle that easily lifts to convert your seat into a lounger. This spot has become a highlight for catching the sun and watching the kids swim.
Just under the sunbed lounge, Chaparral added two speakers. This addition makes a great combination for surfers to listen to music or for the family to swim when anchored down.
Between the two speakers is a camera providing your surfers with incredible safety. While driving forward, this camera is a great tool to display on your dashboard, ensuring everything is going well behind the boat.
The GT (Gen Two) Surf System enhances the V-plane performance hull of Chaparral’s Surf Series by adding customized technology to shape an incredible wake or wave, no matter your age or skill level. With a simple touch on your touchscreen, the Chaparral GTS-6 Surf automatically adjusts the wave shape to your liking.

As you make your way through the oversized transom walkthrough, you’ll notice a thoughtful feature from Chaparral Boats—dual fuel caps located on each side of the boat. This smart design helps reduce the need to reposition the boat when pulling up to the fuel dock, making refueling simpler and more convenient.
Step inside and you’re welcomed by luxurious seating wrapped in premium silicone vinyl. This material is designed to stand up to the realities of boating life, helping protect the upholstery from sunscreen, oils, and everyday wear. To take comfort even further, all Chaparral upholstery is finished with a specialized cool-touch topcoat that helps the seating stay comfortable even on warm summer days.
Because of this technology, owners can also choose darker interior color options when designing their Chaparral, without worrying about the seats becoming too hot in the sun. The result is a boat that blends style, durability, and comfort for long days on the water with family and friends.
Towards the center of the GTS 6, you’ll find dual captain’s chairs, giving both the driver and passenger a comfortable, elevated position to enjoy the ride. On the passenger side, Chaparral has cleverly integrated a hidden head compartment, providing a private space for changing before docking for dinner or using the restroom, so you don’t have to cut your surfing session short.
At the helm, the captain is greeted by a fully touchscreen display that puts everything at their fingertips. From monitoring water depth to adjusting wave customization, controlling music, and managing other key systems, the interface keeps the driver fully connected to the boat while maintaining a clean, modern dashboard design.
